3 Signs the $90K Bitcoin Price Was the Local Bottom After Buying the Dip

Signs Point to Bitcoin Support at $90,000

The recent dip in Bitcoin’s value to around $90,000 appears to be a potential buy-the-dip scenario, consistent with patterns observed in past bull markets. This movement has been accompanied by several market indicators suggesting that Bitcoin has found a local bottom, which could set the stage for further gains.

Bitcoin’s Recovery from Recent Lows

On November 26, Bitcoin hit a low of $90,742 before bouncing back to reclaim the $95,000 mark. This recovery was not limited to Bitcoin alone but extended across the cryptocurrency market, with a 7.3% increase in total market capitalization, reaching $3.32 trillion by November 28. This rebound has prompted market watchers to speculate whether Bitcoin has established a solid support level at $90,000, potentially paving the way for a push towards the $100,000 milestone.

Coinbase Premium Index Indicates Demand Revival

A key factor in Bitcoin’s recent downturn from its all-time high of $99,655 on November 22 to the local low on November 26 was a decline in demand from U.S. traders. This was reflected in a notable drop in the Coinbase Premium Index, which tracks the price difference between Bitcoin trading pairs on Coinbase and Binance.

However, the index has shown signs of recovery, increasing from -0.0387 on June 26 to 0.091 in recent days. This rising premium suggests a resurgence in demand from U.S. retail investors. According to Julio Moreno, CryptoQuant’s head of research, this renewed demand is a positive signal for Bitcoin’s future price trajectory.

Positive Inflows in Bitcoin ETFs

Bitcoin’s price recovery aligns with renewed interest in U.S.-based spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs). After experiencing two consecutive days of outflows totaling $558 million, these funds saw a net inflow of $103 million on November 26. The Bitwise Bitcoin ETF recorded the largest inflow, amounting to $48 million, while BlackRock’s ETF witnessed its first day without flows since mid-November.

Overall, U.S. Bitcoin ETFs have attracted approximately $30.3 billion in net inflows. Institutional investors have increased their exposure to Bitcoin products, with inflows reaching $3.07 billion, accounting for over 98% of total inflows for the week ending November 22. This heightened institutional interest bodes well for Bitcoin’s price momentum moving forward.

Declining Bitcoin Exchange Balances

Despite Bitcoin’s upward movement, the balance of Bitcoin on exchanges has continued to decrease, reaching levels not seen since November 2018. The current exchange balance is below 2.4 million BTC. This decline indicates that there is less Bitcoin available for potential selling, as investors choose to move their holdings to self-custody wallets instead.

Conclusion

Market indicators suggest that Bitcoin’s recent dip to $90,000 could mark a local bottom, setting the stage for a potential rally towards $100,000. The recovery of the Coinbase Premium Index, positive ETF inflows, and decreasing exchange balances all point to a strengthening market position for Bitcoin. However, as always, investors should remain cautious and conduct their own research before making investment decisions.
