Infinex to List Top 500 Crypto Assets: V2 Launching Early 2025

Infinex Plans Major Expansion with Top 500 Crypto Asset Listing

In the dynamic world of decentralized finance (DeFi), the platform Infinex is making significant strides to expand its offerings. At a recent conference in Bangkok, Thailand, the founder of Infinex, Kain Warwick, revealed plans to significantly broaden the platform’s token support. By early 2025, Infinex aims to list the top 500 crypto assets, marking a substantial increase from its current support of 100 tokens.

Expanding Asset Support in DeFi

Infinex currently offers support for various assets, including Solana Program Library (SPL) tokens, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and ERC-20 tokens. However, with a proposal in governance, the platform intends to multiply its token support by five times. This ambitious plan will include tokens from major platforms like Solana, Ethereum, and Ethereum layer-2 solutions. Warwick emphasized the aim to include all top assets listed on prominent platforms such as CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap. Despite these advancements, legacy chains like Bitcoin and Litecoin might require additional time before they are fully integrated into the system.

Upcoming Infinex v2 Release

In addition to the expanded token listing, Infinex is gearing up for the release of its version 2 (v2) platform, scheduled for early next year. This update is designed to enhance the speed and efficiency of integrations within the DeFi space. Currently, each integration demands onchain code, a process described by Warwick as “too slow.” The v2 architecture will introduce a new setup featuring a Vault and a hot wallet. The Vault will provide a secure environment for storing funds, while the hot wallet will facilitate interactions with contracts. Importantly, assets will remain in the Vault and only transition to the hot wallet when users choose to sell or list them.

Faster Integrations and Improved Scalability

The new v2 architecture is expected to significantly accelerate integration timelines. Currently, integrating with NFT platforms such as OpenSea and Blur can take two to three months. With the new system, this time can be reduced to just two to three weeks. Warwick highlighted the need for a scalable solution to enable faster integrations and allow Infinex to move more rapidly in the evolving crypto landscape.

Future Outlook for Infinex

The anticipated release of Infinex v2 marks a pivotal moment for the platform. While a specific release date has not been disclosed, Warwick assures that the launch will occur early next year. This update is set to position Infinex as a more agile and comprehensive player in the DeFi market, catering to a broader range of crypto assets and offering enhanced integration capabilities.

The developments at Infinex reflect the broader trends in the cryptocurrency industry, where platforms continually evolve to support a diverse range of assets and improve user experience. As Infinex prepares to launch its v2 platform and expand its asset support, it stands poised to capture a significant share of the DeFi market, offering users more options and greater efficiency in their crypto transactions.
