Pixels Hosts First Web3 Wedding; Immortal Rising 2 Hits 400K Registrations: Web3 Gamer

Pixels Hosts First-Ever Web3 Wedding

Pixels, a laid-back adventure game, has hosted what is possibly the first Web3 in-game wedding. The couple, Cloudwhite and Laura, tied the knot in the game after meeting at the 2022 Axie Infinity convention, AxieCon. Cloudwhite, a popular Web3 content creator, chose this method to include family and friends from Wisconsin and Colombia who couldn’t be physically present.

The wedding took place at Terra Villa Central in Pixels on September 7 and became a significant event in the Web3 gaming community. The game supported the wedding with exclusive in-game outfits. Over 3,789 users bought suits, and 1,865 went for wedding dresses.

Cloudwhite expressed gratitude to the Web3 gaming community and the Ronin Network for their support. The couple had to travel to eight countries and wait 16 months for Laura’s K-1 visa approval. They planned their wedding in three weeks after Laura arrived in the USA.

Immortal Rising 2 Gains 400,000 Pre-Registrations

The dark fantasy idle RPG, Immortal Rising 2, has garnered over 400,000 pre-registrations before its launch on September 13. Jake Lee, Planetarium Labs’ chief publishing officer, attributes the excitement to the success of Immortal Rising 1, which topped revenue charts for eight consecutive months in South Korea.

Lee highlighted that the game will gradually introduce Web3 features to bridge the gap between traditional gamers and Web3 enthusiasts. The game’s strong team includes the lead game designer from the hit game Dave The Diver.

Planetarium Labs, the publisher behind Nine Chronicles, aims for a sustainable tokenomics strategy focusing on long-term stability rather than quick price spikes.
