Crypto and Market Price Analysis 9/16: SPX, DXY, BTC, ETH, BNB, SOL, XRP, More

Bitcoin Price Analysis

Bitcoin’s inability to maintain above the crucial $60,000 mark suggests a hesitancy among buyers at higher levels. This could be due to the uncertainty surrounding the Federal Reserve’s rate cut decision on September 18. Some analysts are optimistic about the rate cuts, expecting them to be favorable for the crypto markets. However, not everyone shares this sentiment. Some believe aggressive rate cuts indicate deeper economic concerns.

Key Support and Resistance Levels

Bitcoin has fallen below the 20-day EMA ($58,338), indicating bearish pressure. If the price moves up from the current levels, the bulls might try to push the BTC/USDT pair above $61,200. Success here could lead to a rally towards $65,000. Conversely, a close below the 20-day EMA might drag the price down to the critical support zone between $55,724 and $52,550.

Ethereum Price Analysis

Ether (ETH) turned down from the 20-day EMA ($2,414) and dropped to solid support near $2,300. The downward sloping 20-day EMA and the relative strength index (RSI) in the negative zone indicate that the bears have the upper hand.

Key Support and Resistance Levels

If Ether continues to drop and closes below $2,300, the decline could extend to $2,111. A break below this support would signal a resumption of the downtrend. On the upside, a rally above the moving averages could push the ETH/USDT pair to the breakdown level of $2,850. Overcoming this resistance is essential for signaling a trend change.

Binance Coin Price Analysis

BNB (Binance Coin) has been trading between $460 and $635 for several months, indicating buying near the support and selling close to the resistance.

Key Support and Resistance Levels

The bears are trying to pull the price below the moving averages. If successful, the BNB/USDT pair could slump towards $460. On the contrary, if the price turns up from the moving averages, it will suggest a positive short-term sentiment. The pair could rise to $600 and then to $635. The zone between $600 and $635 is expected to be fiercely defended by sellers, but if the bulls prevail, the pair may rise to $722.

Solana Price Analysis

Solana (SOL) rose above the 20-day EMA ($135) but failed to maintain higher levels. The price turned down and slipped below the 20-day EMA.

Key Support and Resistance Levels

The bears will attempt to sink the price to the critical support of $116. This negative view will be invalidated if the SOL/USDT pair turns up and breaks above the 50-day simple moving average ($143). A breakout here could lead to a recovery to the overhead resistance of $164, a formidable barrier for the bulls to cross.

XRP Price Analysis

XRP has been swinging inside a large range between $0.41 and $0.64 for several weeks. The moving averages have flattened out, and the RSI is near the midpoint, indicating a balance between supply and demand.

Key Support and Resistance Levels

The bulls need to push the price above the $0.64 resistance to take charge. Alternatively, if the price continues lower and breaks below the uptrend line, it will suggest short-term advantage for the bears. This could sink the XRP/USDT pair to $0.50 and eventually to $0.46.

Dogecoin Price Analysis

Dogecoin (DOGE) buyers are struggling to push the price above the downtrend line of the falling wedge pattern. If the price remains below the 20-day EMA ($0.10), it will suggest that the bulls have given up.

Key Support and Resistance Levels

The DOGE/USDT pair could sink to $0.09, a crucial level for the bulls to defend. A break below this level will tilt the advantage in favor of the bears, potentially plunging the pair to $0.08. On the other hand, if the price turns up and breaks above the downtrend line, it will signal a potential trend change, leading to a rally to $0.14 and thereafter to $0.18.

Toncoin Price Analysis

Toncoin (TON) turned down from the 50-day SMA ($5.
