Bitcoin Bulls Strive to Reclaim Market Ground

Market Overview

The S&P 500 Index (SPX) has shown a modest recovery of around 1% on September 9, following a significant 4.5% decline the previous week. Concurrently, Bitcoin (BTC) has also garnered interest, rising to approximately $56,500 after dipping close to $52,500 last week.

The recent upward movement places the responsibility on the bulls to sustain this recovery. The past few days have witnessed substantial outflows from U.S.-based Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs), amounting to $1.2 billion over eight days, as per Bloomberg data.

S&P 500 Index Price Analysis

The SPX is at risk of forming a double-top pattern, which could be confirmed if it breaks and closes below 5,119. After a bearish push below the moving averages on September 6, the bullish momentum appears to have weakened. Sellers are likely to aim for the 5,265 mark, but buyers are expected to defend the 5,265 to 5,119 zone vigorously. If the price rebounds from this zone, the index could oscillate between 5,119 and 5,670 for a few days.

For buyers to regain control, they must push the price above the moving averages, potentially retesting the 5,670 resistance level. A break above this level would signal a continuation of the uptrend.

US Dollar Index Price Analysis

The US Dollar Index (DXY) rebounded sharply from the 100.50 level on September 6, indicating strong buying interest. The recovery could gain momentum if the price exceeds the 20-day exponential moving average (101.73), potentially climbing to the 50-day simple moving average (103.14). This move would suggest the index might remain range-bound between 99.57 and 108 for a while.

Conversely, if the price declines sharply from the 20-day EMA, the bears might target a drop below 100.50, potentially leading to pivotal support at 99.57.

Bitcoin Price Analysis

Bitcoin’s price fell below the critical $55,724 support on September 6 but the bears failed to sustain the breakdown, indicating weak selling at lower levels. The price has since recovered to the $55,724 level, setting up a battle between bulls and bears. If buyers push the price above $55,724 and the 20-day EMA ($57,821), it will signal a rejection of the breakdown, possibly driving the pair to the 50-day SMA ($60,608).

Conversely, if the price falls from $55,724 or the 20-day EMA and breaks below $52,550, it could indicate the start of a new downtrend, with the pair potentially dropping to $49,000.

Ether Price Analysis

Ether (ETH) is facing potential selling pressure at the $2,300 level, with bears attempting to turn it into resistance. If the price declines sharply from $2,300, it may break below $2,111, potentially tumbling to the psychological $2,000 level.

To signal a comeback, buyers must push the price above the 20-day EMA ($2,465), potentially rallying to the breakdown level of $2,850. A break above this resistance could suggest the end of the downtrend.

Binance Coin Price Analysis

BNB’s bounce from $471 indicates aggressive defense by bulls within the $495 to $460 zone. The relief rally is expected to face selling at the moving averages. If the price falls from these averages, bears might attempt another push below $460.

Alternatively, if bulls push the price above the moving averages, the pair may oscillate between $460 and $635 for a while. A significant move is likely to start above $635 or below $460.

Solana Price Analysis

Solana (SOL) is attempting to find support near $116, but bears are selling on relief rallies, indicating negative short-term sentiment. Bears will try to push the price below $116, but buyers are likely to provide significant resistance. If the price rises from the current level or $116 and surpasses the 20-day EMA ($136), it suggests dip-buying by bulls, potentially rallying the pair towards $160.

However, if the price continues to decline below $116, the pair may slump to $100.
